We combine deep industry knowledge with commercial deal experience and regulatory expertise, and focus on delivering successful and enduring energy projects to meet New Zealand's energy needs.

• Negotiating land interests – securing licences, easements, acquisition agreements, option agreements
• Transaction structuring – designing and implementing joint venture structures, farm-ins, equity participations, option agreements
• Mergers and acquisitions – advising on share and asset sales and acquisitions, equity investments and joint ventures, and undertaking due diligence
• Overseas investment – obtaining OIO approvals for energy and resources projects
• Other regulatory consents – obtaining NZ Petroleum & Minerals approvals and Electricity Authority approvals and other relevant industry consents
• Regulatory needs – understanding the regulation of the petroleum, gas, mining and electricity sectors, including the regulation for New Zealand's nascent offshore wind industry
• Resource consenting – obtaining resource consents, including through fast track consenting processes

• Project development and delivery – negotiating project development contracts, procurement contracts and ensuring smooth project delivery
• Project financing – advising on project financing and ensuring project documents meet financiers' needs
• Offtake – negotiating offtake arrangements and supply contracts (PPAs, CRESAs, CfDs and physical sales), both for the supplier and the purchaser
• Climate change and emissions trading – correctly reporting for and surrendering units and sharing the benefit of green products
