Watercare's Central Interceptor Tunnel
Greenwood Roche advised Watercare on the $1.6b Central Interceptor, a 16.2km tunnel now complete, providing strategic and property advice.

Watercare's Central Interceptor Tunnel project is nearing completion. The tunnel boring machine has completed its 16.2 kilometre journey and the tunnel is operational.
Greenwood Roche, lead by Hadleigh Yonge and his team, have assisted Watercare in delivering this significant $1.6 billion investment in Auckland's future. The tunnel is some 4.5 metres in diameter and lies between 15 and 110 metres beneath the surface of the land, therefore providing significant legal challenges.
Greenwood Roche has provided strategic project delivery advice and has negotiated the necessary property rights.
