Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development - Te Kukūnga Waka – Carrington Residential Development
Greenwood Roche is assisting the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (*HUD*) in relation to Te Kukūnga Waka (the Carrington Residential Development), the development of at least 4,000 homes over 10-15 years on land adjacent to the Unitec campus in Mt Albert, Auckland.
The Te Kukūnga Waka project is a large scale urban development being led by the three Tāmaki Makaurau rōpū of Marutūāhu, Ngāti Whātua and Waiohua-Tāmaki and their project partners. HUD is facilitating the development on behalf of the Crown.
The Greenwood Roche property, public and resource management teams have advised HUD on all aspects of the acquisition and development of the land, including the acquisition of land from Unitec, development arrangements with the rōpū and their development partners and a private plan change to facilitate residential development.
